Southeastern Slovenia is like the softness of an enchanted song, where the scenic Gorjanci mountain range links Dolenjska with Bela krajina and its wine growing hills and small churches, castle and monasteries, mighty forests and gentle birch groves give the extensive region of southeastern Slovenia a very picturesque appearance. It is a region with countless possibilities for relaxation due to hot water springs, exploration, and pleasure and numerous fascinating stops on its heritage trails and wineroads. Metliska crnina (a kind of dark grape) is typical for Bela Krajina, Dolenjska is homeland of Cvi?ek (soureish wine). The most typical Dolenjska dish are Struklji. The Slovenes are known to make Struklji in more than 70 different ways. Lambkins and piglets are typical for Bela Krajina.
